What to know about arwyp’s $30 million hiring spree

WASHINGTON — Arwyp Industries Inc., a supplier of welding equipment and welding products, is hiring for a $30-million job.

The hiring is part of a $6.6-billion deal between the companies.

The company said in a news release that the hiring will focus on a new business development group, led by former ARWYP vice president and senior vice president Robert Bock, which will provide the company’s “new and differentiated products, services and expertise.”

The company’s other employees will be “focused on new product development and customer service efforts.”

Bock will report directly to the company president, and ARWYP will pay him $500,000 annually.
